Rooms & Suites
We have four rooms on offer, each quite different in character, but all carefully designed to provide a restful, comfortable and self-contained space.
All bedrooms feature luxurious Hypnos mattresses, Egyptian cotton bedlinen and comfortable hypo-allergenic duvets from Snuggledown. Each has excellent Wi-fi Internet access, flat screen Smart TV, comfortable seating, DAB clock radio with Bluetooth sound system and electric kettle with a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate. All bathrooms are en suite and have bathrobes, towels, hairdryer and toiletries from Arran Aromatics.

Cruickshanks Arran FAQs
If you have a question about Cruickshanks B&B or more generally about Arran that does not appear please don't hesitate to contact us, we'll be more than happy to assist.

What are your check-in and check-out times?Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am. Breakfast is between 8-9.30am but we are happy to serve earlier if required if you'd like to get out and explore Arran.

Is breakfast included in the room rate?Yes a full breakfast is included in the room rate. More details of the breakfasts we offer can be found on our Breakfast page.

What time do you serve breakfast?We typically serve breakfast between 8-9.30am. If you'd like to start your day on Arran early we are happy to serve earlier.

How do I check prices?Our room pricing and availability can fe found on our booking portal; by booking direct you are guaranteed the best rate available. Note that the single occupancy rate is £20 per room per night less than the full room rate.

Is Cruickshanks pet friendly?Unfortunately not: while Nanette and Rob love dogs and pets, Jess our Border Collie is less well disposed to four legged visitors, and she has the final say.

Are you able to accommodate children?Cruickshanks is an adult only establishment and we do not have facilities for either children or babies.

Is there free WiFi?Free, easy to access quality WiFi is available throughout the premises; dedicated wifi access points are available in each of the bedrooms.

What is your booking policy?We have a minimum two-night stay policy. Once you have paid a non-refundable deposit, representing the first nights stay, you have a secure and guaranteed booking. Learn more >

Are there tea & coffee making facilities in the room?Yes.In addition to a kettle, each bedroom is provided with brew-able coffee (including de-caffeinated), a wide selection of conventional and fruit teas, hot-chocolate and fresh milk.

Is there free parking?Yes-there is parking for up to four cars (one parking space per room).

Do you have sea views?Yes two of our bedrooms have sea views; each room is described, including views, under the rooms tab.

Can you recommend somewhere to eat?We have outlined a good variety of options on the island on our 'Eating Out' page.

Can you recommend things to do in Arran?Arran has plenty to see and do, we have prepared and extensive list for you on the Activities page.

Is smoking or vaping permitted?Not indoors.

Do you have a hairdryer?A hairdryer is provided in each bedroom.

What if I am allergic to certain foods?We have a lot of first-hand experience of food intolerances and therefore take particular care with the sourcing of all ingredients.

Do you cater for vegetarians/gluten free/vegans?Absolutely-we cater for all diets.

Do you have a ground floor / accessible bedroom?Unfortunately we do not have a ground floor bedroom however we do have a bathroom on the ground floor.

I have an electric vehicle where is the nearest charger?A Cruickshanks has its own dedicated high speed EV charger for guests to use.

How are the breakfast tables set up please?The tables are set up according to party size and therefore typically two placements per table.
